The Mount Zion excavations are licensed through the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, with funds collected and dispersed through our non-profit partner: The Foundation for Biblical Archaeology. Licenses are issued by the Israel Antiquities Authority, and the Israel Nature and National Parks Protection Authority. We are also grateful to the East Jerusalem Development Company and the Jerusalem Municipality for logistical help, as well as to local residents. The excavations from the 1970s are being published with a grant provided by the Shelby White - Leon Levy Program for 2005-2006. Major Funding has been received with thanks from:
